ALICE is far away in the field of her dreams playing with friends and laughing. She has just found a dandelion and blown it into the air, watching the hundreds of parachutes fly away in the breeze. A nearby brook gurgles and soothes her mind as she lays on the green grass while watching the approach of the White Rabbit.... far away she hears the words of mother calling, "Alice, Alice, Alice.... wake up now".

MP3: http://symphonyofscience.com

"Our Place in the Cosmos", the third video from the Symphony of Science, was crafted using samples from Carl Sagan's Cosmos, Richard Dawkins' Genius of Charles Darwin series, Dawkins' TED Talk, Stephen Hawking's Universe series, Michio Kaku's interview on Physics and aliens, plus added visuals from Baraka, Koyaanisqatsi, History Channel's Universe series, and IMAX Cosmic Voyage. The themes present in this song are intended to explore our understanding of our origins within the universe, and to challenge the commonplace notion that humans have a superior or privileged position, both on our home planet and in the universe itself.

Alice entered the room, seeing an ice cream cone on the table she decided that it looked delicious so she began to eat it. Suddenly she looked across the room at the mirror and her twin Alice appeared, looking very similar but minus the ice cream. This was odd, Alice thought. Have I been twinned? When she woke up Alice was alone and her hands were sticky and smelled of strawberries... had she been dreaming and where was her twin Alice? Alice was very puzzled.

Alice in Wonderland 1903

posted on YouTube by BFIfilms | 2010年02月25日 868,816 views

The first-ever film version of Lewis Carroll's tale has recently been restored by the BFI National Archive from severely damaged materials. Made just 37 years after Lewis Carroll wrote his novel and eight years after the birth of cinema, the adaptation was directed by Cecil Hepworth and Percy Stow, and was based on Sir John Tenniel's original illustrations. In an act that was to echo more than 100 years later, Hepworth cast his wife as the Red Queen, and he himself appears as the Frog Footman. Even the Cheshire cat is played by a family pet.

With a running time of just 12 minutes (8 of which survive), Alice in Wonderland was the longest film produced in England at that time. Film archivists have been able to restore the film's original colours for the first time in over 100 years.

Music: 'Jill in the Box', composed and performed by Wendy Hiscocks.

This restoration was supported by The Headley Trust and The Pilgrim Trust.

ALICE PLEASANCE LIDDELL- Prime Paradox Wonderland

ALICE PLEASANCE LIDDELL- Prime Paradox Wonderland

A boat beneath a sunny sky,
Lingering onward dreamily
In an evening of July--

Children three that nestle near,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Pleased a simple tale to hear--

Long has paled that sunny sky:
Echoes fade and memories die.
Autumn frosts have slain July.

Still she haunts me, phantomwise,
Alice moving under skies
Never seen by waking eyes.

Children yet, the tale to hear,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Lovingly shall nestle near.

In a Wonderland they lie,
Dreaming as the days go by,
Dreaming as the summers die:

Ever drifting down the stream--
Lingering in the golden gleam--
Life, what is it but a dream?
